LeniskiJoeyPhoto.jpg Over the course of his practice, Mr. Leniski has litigated dozens of complex litigation matters to successful conclusions, which means that the cases resulted in a substantial benefit to the plaintiff or plaintiff class. He spent the better portion of four years as the primary attorney for the Firm performing the day-to-day litigation work in the Firm’s shareholder derivative suit involving King Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which eventually settled and received final approval from the court in late 2008. His work in the King case required him to personally conduct 40 depositions of both fact and expert witnesses, in addition to reviewing millions of pages of documents and engaging in a rigorous motion practice. In addition to his work on the King Pharmaceuticals matter, Mr. Leniski has also directly participated in litigating complex matters involving many different industries, including health care, telecommunications, energy, pharmaceuticals, computer software, and insurance.

Although his practice focuses on complex litigation, Mr. Leniski is also active in labor and employment cases and general practice litigation. Mr. Leniski clerked for the firm for two years during his studies at Vanderbilt University Law School before joining the firm as full-time in 2003. Before graduating cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 2000, Mr. Leniski worked as a journalist for The Observer school paper and interned in the office of U.S. Congressman Tim Roemer. Prior to his entrance into the bar, Mr. Leniski served as president of the Vanderbilt Bar Association, worked in the Vanderbilt Juvenile Practice Clinic and clerked for both the United States Army Judge Advocate General's Corps at Fort Lee, Virginia, and the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Tennessee.

Mr. Leniski is an Eagle Scout and resides in Nashville with his wife, Kate, and his twin daughters, Anna Sophia and Margaret Katherine.
